A brief introduction to the Fin-Finder Hydro-Glide bowfishing arrow rest. www.gearbids.net
That’s one big bluegill
i bought ur video at cabelas and i fukn love it!!! ur a beast dude!
Whats the fish im the top left at beginning of the video
I regret telling my friends about this video
if you want a great containment rest buy the Quick Draw Bowfishing rest
the walls of the rest are high enough that you almost have to have the bow upside to have the arrow fall out. like I said in the video I have shot a epoxy rest design for about 20 years and so have many others. We couldn’t design a rest that fits everyones style of shooting and there are already some great 100% containment rests out there and we were not aiming for that market but the market we were aiming for we did hit our mark.
Why isn’t it 100% containment? You guys missed the marked.
many things went into bringing this rest to market and yes in a perfect world a machined aluminum mounting bracket would be AWESOME but it would have priced this rest right out of the market. like i said in a response to one of your other posts this rest was designed for the bowfisherman who doesn’t want to put a permanent rest on their bow.
Some diehards are cutting the peg off the arrow holder and epoxing it to the riser. others are putting epoxy on the shaft connecting to the mounting bracket to eliminate the chance of it getting bumped ot of alinment.
sorry your having so many issues well others are not. I shoot mine with a problem and I am very hard on gear. I have knocked mine out of adjustment a few times and it only took a second to get it back into tune. Most guys use their hunting bows and don’t want to put a permanent epoxy rest on it. that is why this rest was designed with them in mind EASY USE LOW COST. Now I know the diehard bowfisherman has bows set up strictly for bowfishing and still like the rest.
I have 4 of these. I also found that the portion your arrow sits on is not uniform from front to back. My arrows only touch in the center. This allows the arrow to rock from front to back. I had to wrap sand paper around the arrow shaft and take the hump out of the center. This is the only way to get the arrow to sit correctly in the rest. Little things make a big difference. Pay attention to quality control. We should not have to sand these to get correct alignment.
A little bump will put the rest out of alignment. No one is easy on Bow fishing equipment, thus making it almost impossible to keep the rest tuned. Make the attachment arm out of machined aluminum and you may have a great product. As it is with the POS arm on it, they are just so so.
I just bought some of these. I do like the arrow holder portion, but the attachment arm is crap. When you tighten it to your bow. It will flex. This puts the rest at an angle to the riser. makes it to where it is impossible to get correct alignment. Also because it is cheap plastic. There is no way to tighten it down where it will stay put. You can move it any time you want..
@hillbillyangler its on the fish hawk in the video genius
Great concept but the plastic mount arm needs to be machine with a lock screw.
go to the bigtime archery link in the discribtion then check the bowfishing section under bowfishing rests..
